Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, explore what's possible and build a plan for life after high school. At Achieve Twin Cities, we help students prepare for college, careers and life through personalized support, real-world experiences and connections to their community. 

Career & College Readiness

Students don't have to figure out their future alone. At our Career & College Centers (located within their high school), students have someone in their corner.

  • Our advisors help students discover their interests and navigate important milestones like career exploration, college applications, financial aid and post-secondary planning. 
  • As the only organization providing universal career and college readiness services in our partner schools, our support is available to each and every student.

Volunteer Engagement

When students meet professionals, ask questions, and see different careers up close, they can picture futures they might not have considered before.

  • Students explore careers through events, speakers, and worksite tours, meeting professionals from healthcare, skilled trades, business, STEM, government, the arts and more.
  • Thanks to volunteers, students learn about different education and training paths, internships and careers directly from individuals in the fields they are exploring.

  • We connect students with internship opportunities that help them build résumés, expand their networks and prepare for what's next.

Scholarships, Grants and Support for MPS

We serve as the nonprofit foundation for Minneapolis Public Schools, helping connect community investment with opportunities that benefit students and educators. Our work includes:

  • Managing district funds and grants that support school priorities.
  • Administering educator and classroom mini-grants that expand learning opportunities.
  • Awarding more than 70 college scholarships to graduating MPS seniors each year, totaling more than $200,000 annually.
