As one of the largest career and college readiness service providers in Minnesota, AchieveMpls partners with Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), other public agencies and nonprofit organizations to ensure that all students have the resources, support and connections they need to achieve their career and college dreams.

To strengthen and align this work across the Twin Cities, AchieveMpls joined school counseling leads from MPS and St. Paul Public Schools to organize the first-ever Twin Cities College Access Convening. Hosted by College Possible and sponsored by Generation Next, over 80 college access professionals spent a day exploring best practices in high-quality college access services for underrepresented students, with the goal of increasing postsecondary enrollment and retention for all students.   .

Small group sessions focused on specific strategies to better serve students who are Native American, homeless or highly mobile, English learners, are undocumented, or have IEPs. Presenters and facilitators included staff from participating organizations, including our Longfellow Career & College Center Coordinator Tiffany Enriquez.

We’re honored to be part of a community that has such a strong commitment to career and college readiness for all students. Thanks to all of our event partners, presenters and supporters who helped make this event such a great success!
